New Record for 50-Plus Scores in T20Is
Babar reached this milestone during the final T20I against South Africa, where he scored 68 runs off 47 deliveries, including nine boundaries. This match took place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. With this innings, Babar now holds 40 fifties in 124 innings, surpassing Virat Kohli's 39 fifties in 117 innings and Rohit Sharma's 37 fifties in 151 innings.
Babar Becomes Highest Run-Scorer in T20Is
In addition to his 50-plus scores, Babar also eclipsed Rohit Sharma to become the highest run-scorer in T20I history. He achieved this during the second T20I against South Africa, amassing 4,302 runs in 124 innings at an average of 39.83. Babar entered the match needing just nine runs to surpass Rohit, who previously held the record with 4,231 runs in 151 innings. Babar reached this milestone in his 123rd innings, finishing with an unbeaten score of 11 runs from 18 balls.
